DESCRIPTION: APW - E. Howard & Co, Boston, Series X, deer grade, 15J, J-S (just under 12S), 14K gold OF original E.H.&Co. case, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial with Arabic numerals in radial orientation, blued umbrella-style hands, SW-SS, nickel damascene, s#500487. Gross weight of assembled watch 46.9 dwt (73.0 g). This example is highlighted by its movement's unusually attractive geometric style nickel damascene finish.
CONDITION: Mvt: NR, fully wound, will tick with excess pressure held to crown but balance motion is sluggish and out of beat, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous plates with scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, minor oxide and pitting to regulator assembly; dial with patched chip at lower-left of seconds-register, fractured segments adjacent left side of seconds-register that appear likely secured with glue, scattered hls, small edge chip under bezel near 7; fine hands with minor oxide, minute stem with finish loss, hour with some bend; case shows little wear, profuse fine to micro-fine scratches to rear, dent to band at 4:30, numerous scattered mild dents to rear and cuvette, small ding to upper-right rear edge; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
